I don't ever remake pictures. I tend to just accept whatever the piece is and isn't and apply it all to future work. This one, however, just needed to happen. The original Ms. Shorts was entirely incidental. I started drawing and she's what happened. Had I known in advance, I would have drawn her further over on the page so I could actually make the sword. The cut off made any prints look wrong. She was also one of the first ten pictures I ever did with my Copic markers and I've learned so much since then.
This time around, things I did by accident I could do on purpose, I could pay better attention to, and time on, the details, I added/removed/changed what needed to be changed. Are there mistakes? Absolutely, there always will be. I could dissect every picture I ever made and tell you what's wrong with it. I don't know an artist that couldn't. All in all, I'm glad I did it and now I can get the nagging out of my head and move forward.
Also, I really need to start keeping a per-picture log of what colors I use. I want to, at some point, make videos and show people what I do and it'd be preferable to do it on pictures my audience may already know.
